And to wrap up this newsletter, we would like to leave you with an inspirational scripture to start your day off right:
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11
May this verse remind you of God's love and care for you, and may it give you hope and encouragement as you go about your day.
We hope this newsletter has been a blessing to you, and we look forward to connecting with you again soon.
Stay blessed and keep shining for Christ!

Louisiana โ โBut he said to me, โMy grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.โ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. [2 Corinthians 12:9]โ
To the ones who exist in the background. The time to pick ourselves up is now. People talk, but the chosen are the ones who do. When we feel weak, it is He who makes us strong. So strong in fact that the Word tells us that we can do all things. Not some things, but we will succeed in the good plans He has made for us.
There appears to be a paradox at work in Christian battle rap. Loso is a Christian battle rapper, so you would assume that more Christians would support him, or at least embrace him,ย but it appears like non-Christians support him more. Loso wants to bring this topic into the spotlight because itโs been something he has faced with throughout his career and he did just that on the Mitch Darrell Show, episode 13.
First, let us define what we mean by the paradox of Christian battle rap. Essentially, itโs the concept that, despite being a Christian rapper, Loso discovers that non-believers are typically the ones who show him the most love. Despite to what one might assume, Christians are much less likely to back a Christian Rapper In the battle rap arenaย . Loso, however, has found that this isnโt always the case.
Village KNG โHarriet Tubmanโ (feat. KnowdaVerbs, Pettidee, Rocket & DJ Skillspinz).
Certified vets Pettidee and KnowdaVerbsย to release We Are Village KNG group project!
The first time you hear the news, it comes across as an unlikely tag team. Who would think to pair the crunchy, CeeLo-ate-a-Transformer vocals of Pettidee with the boom-bap lyricism of unlocked action figure KnowdaVerbs?
The idea actually originated with both emcees. Dig a little deeper and youโll find the two men have a healthy history thanks to the connective tissue of GRITSโ Teron โBonafideโ Carter and the Factors of the Seven fellowship.
Petti and Verbs have also partnered on music projects in the past (check out their collaborative carol from the Soldier Sound Christmas album), but now itโs time to introduce music fans to their group identity as Village KNG (pronounced โkingโ).

Trutha releases his 3rd single of the year โDonโt shoot the messenger.โ
This single is a major collaboration featuring Mitch Darrell and outr.cty, produced by ProdFway.
Procyse Partners with J. Rhodan For the Collaborative Single โNeed Youโ.
Denver, CO โ โAnd my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (Phillippians 4:19)โ
Procyse and J. Rhodan prepare for their upcoming EP with the lead single Need You.
In the midst of a crazy world, Need You delivers a calming vibe that allows the listener to remained focus on the source of our help when weโre in the storm. The J. Rhodan production is simplistic in its approach but still hits hard without negating the laidback feel. It is truly a perfect compliment to the smooth vocal delivery by Coloradoโs Procyse. While Pro has plenty to get off of his chest on the record, he does so with control and conviction as he flows through his bars with a captivating cadence.
St. Paul, MN โ โPeople are chasing cash, not happiness. When you chase money, youโre going to lose.โ [GaryVee]
Our priorities determine our focus. Fame and notoriety call out to us promising to give us our โbest lifeโ. If weโre not careful, we can live and breathe for the attention of others. We seek approval from strangers and find our identity in the thoughts of those who do not know us at all. There comes a point for everyone that is chasing โstatusโ where they look in the mirror and cannot even recognize the image that they see. Is this how we are meant to live? Are we meant to soar? Have we experienced a Failure To Launch?
Minnesota hip-hop artist Kody Free tackles the concept of โblowing upโ with three new records that compose his latest release. Failure To Launch is a short EP that packs a large amount of thought and processing into its listening experience.
I hope everyone enjoyed some of the updates from the last two weeks. We have way more on the website @ tbk247.com.
